Key Points for Drilling Operation Safety Management: Safety Standards Operators Must Master

To ensure drilling operation safety, all operators must first conduct a standardized inspection before starting work. Before each operation, all equipment components should be jointly inspected for integrity, especially the wire ropes, brakes, clutches, and the firmness of all connections. Simultaneously, the work area must be observed and cleared, ensuring the site is level, away from electrical wires and other hazards, and confirming that all safety protection devices are in place. This habit of "pre-operation confirmation" is the first line of defense against accidents.

During operations, strict adherence to operating discipline is crucial. While the drilling rig is running, any adjustments, cleaning, or repairs to rotating or moving parts are strictly prohibited. All personnel should maintain a safe distance from drill pipes, swivels, and other moving parts. Long hair and loose clothing must be securely fastened to prevent entanglement. When raising or lowering the drill string, movements must be smooth, and personnel are strictly prohibited from standing or passing under the drill string. Constantly monitor instrument displays and machine sounds. If any abnormal noises, severe vibrations, or sudden pressure changes are detected, the machine must be stopped immediately for inspection; under no circumstances should work be forced to continue.

Safety management must not be relaxed at the end of operations or during shift handover. After shutdown, all operating handles should be placed in safe positions and the power source disconnected. When performing necessary cleaning and maintenance on the equipment, it must also be ensured that it is completely stopped and there is no possibility of accidental restart. The team should cultivate a safety culture of mutual reminders and supervision, conduct regular safety drills, and ensure that every member is familiar with emergency procedures, jointly implementing the principle of "safety first" in every aspect of drilling operations.
